It's a beautiful morning

£1,200.00

This painting captures the sunlight sparkling through spring leaves in my wooded meadow. I am mesmerised by the sun playing through the canopies as I look up at the trees, happily lost in a fleeting world of light.

Intuitively painted in response to movement, light or forms that entrance me. I sketch en plein air and paint as often as I can in the space I am responding to. When this is not possible I use collaged and digitally manipulated photographs or my memory to conjure the essence of a space, eliminating details for shapes and colours that evoke a connection rather than a realistic representation.

Mixed media on deep edged canvas 90 x 90 cm unframed painted edge ready to hang.

My paintings are mainly in acrylics with waterbased pastels and pencils used to scribe gestural details and motifs.   Painted onto either triple gessoed ply panels or high quality canvases, all paintings are UV sealed. We try to represent colours as accurately as possible but differences in hue will occur due to variations in monitors and lighting. If you are interested in a painting but unsure of how it will work with your space I can send you more images, even paint samples if you need to match a colour. It is also possible for me to produce an ‘insitu’ digital impression of how the piece would look in your room. Please email me if you wish to discuss this.
